Wednesday, July 15, 2026 - The Organising Secretary of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State Council, Toba Ajiboye, popularly known as Ijaya, has d!ed after gunmen attacked and shot him in Lagos.
Ajiboye was reportedly returning home on Sunday night, July
13, from his childhood community in Fadeyi when he was attacked by the
gunmen.
The assailants allegedly intercepted his vehicle along the
Ikorodu Road corridor before opening fire, leaving the car with several bullet
holes.
Sources familiar with the incident said Toba and other
occupants of the vehicle sustained bullet wounds and survived the attack.
