Drama as older man is accused of slapping young lady, 'old enough to be his daughter' after she rejected his advances in Abuja (VIDEO)

Wednesday, July 15, 2026 - Onlookers gathered to keep a man away from a young woman after a physical and verbal altercation ensued when she rejected his advances. 

The woman who claims she was attacked filmed the incident. 

According to the woman, the man slapped her after she told him she does not want to know him when he approached her to woo her. She told bystanders that she was wearing her glasses when he slapped it off her face. 

"He slapped me," the young woman insisted to onlookers. 

"You're a stupid girl," the man said angrily as he stood in front of her, too close for personal comfort. 

"Don't try it," the woman warned him as he got aggressively close to her. 

A man in a work vest approached and held the older man away from the young woman, who at this point begins insulting the man. 

A bike rider also intervened and begged the young woman to be calm but she was incensed and continued insulting the man. 

The man also insulted the younger woman, calling her "very stupid". 

At this point, the bike rider gets down from his motorcycle to beg the woman. 

"Who say I want to toast you?" the older man asks, denying that he tried to woo the woman. 

"I said I don't want to know you," the woman responds. 

Addressing the bike rider, the woman said: "Were you not here when he said that and I said 'no'." 

The bike man continued pleading with the woman to let it go.

The older man continues, saying:"...somebody want to toast them. Am I your mate? Am I your mate?" 

"I said 'no'," the woman insisted. 

Though the initial slap was not captured, the video shows the man lunging at the woman at this point after she kept saying "no" to him. 

Another man came, joining the two men begging the woman. He then led the woman away, while the older man left on a bike with the bike rider. 

At this point, a woman who the younger woman had been waiting for arrived and asked her what

happened. 

The younger woman then narrated how she was waiting for the lady who just came. While waiting, she said she was listening to music through her headphones when the man approached, telling her she looks good. She said she replied,  "thank you, sir." and he told her he wanted to know her. She said she told him she doesn't want to know him and the man told her he is not trying to "toast" her and only wants to know her. She said she told him she doesn't want to know him and this angered the man, causing him to attack her. 

The incident happened in Abuja.
