"You cannot be a police officer and a thief, choose one!" – CP AHMED SANUSI warns officers against extortion (VIDEO)

Monday, June 29, 2026 - The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, has issued a strong warning to police officers against extorting commercial tricycle (Keke) riders, motorists, and other road users in Abuja.

Addressing officers in the command, the police commissioner declared:

"You cannot be both a police officer and a thief. We don't want to hear any reports of extorting Keke riders or motorists in Abuja. If we hear it, you are a thief."
