Saturday, June 27, 2026 - A 16-year-old boy simply identified as Amir has reportedly died after he was allegedly stabbed by his friend following a disagreement in the Gama area of Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
According to Arewa Updates, the incident occurred on Thursday night after an
altercation between the two teenagers.
The report said the suspect allegedly stabbed Amir in the
neck during the dispute, inflicting injuries that proved fatal.
The deceased was buried on Friday in accordance with Islamic
rites, with family members, friends and residents of the community turning out
to pay their last respects.
Amir, who worked as a tailor, was described by community
members as a well-behaved and hardworking young man who enjoyed a good
reputation.
As of the time of filing this report, the Kano State Police
Command had not issued an official statement on the incident, and it was
unclear whether any arrest has been made.
