Thursday, May 7, 2026 - An All Progressives Congress chieftain and former Chairman of Kano Municipal Local Government, Faiz Alfindiki, has said that, propaganda and misinformation aside, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done well for the northern parts of the country.
In a statement on Wednesday, he claimed that over 52 per
cent of major national projects under President Tinubu are located in the
northern region.
Alfindiki made the assertion in a statement in Abuja, where
he urged citizens to focus on tangible development efforts rather than
political rhetoric and propaganda.
According to him, the federal government is presently
undertaking more than 1,400 kilometres of major road projects across the North,
valued at over N7.21 trillion.
He described President Tinubu’s footprints in Northern
Nigeria as evidence that the region is receiving significant attention.
Alfindiki cautioned against what he described as politically
motivated narratives intended to mislead the public.
“The time for propaganda and misinformation is over.
Development is driven by action, planning, and commitment, not noise,” he
stated.
His comments come ahead of the 2027 general election, with
President Tinubu seeking re-election.
Political heavyweights such as former Vice President Atiku
Abubakar and former Kano governor Rabiu Kwankwaso have indicated interest in
replacing Tinubu in 2027
