Tuesday, May 26, 2026 - A politician and community mobilizer in Ebubu, Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, Samuel Obe Ngobe, has been k!lled by two masked gunmen.
The incident occurred on May 22 when the assailants invaded
a hotel in the community owned by the dece@sed and shot him de@d.
According to a statement from Ebubu youths, "two-armed
men reportedly trailed him to his business complex, k!lled him, and fled the
scene on a motorcycle."
This led to suspicion that the gunmen were as$assins sent to
murd£r the politician.
The assailants also reportedly carted away cell phones from
the hotel workers to prevent them from raising an alarm.
Ebubu youths condemned the act and called for a full-scale
investigation to unravel those behind the incident.
They also sympathized with the family of the deceased and
vowed to partner with law enforcement agencies to track down the
perpetrators.
