Thursday, April 16, 2026 - A 26-year-old man, Olaolukitan Adon Abel, has been arrested in connection with three shooting incidents that left two women d3ad and one other injured in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States.
Olaolukitan, of Atlanta, was taken into custody Monday,
April 14, 2026.
A woman, who has not been identified, was found with
multiple gunshot wounds on Monday.She later died after being taken to the
hospital, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.
Arrest warrants state the woman, who was found with 14
gunshot wounds, got out of the car she was in with Adon Abel.
The warrants state Adon Abel is believed to have fired at
her and continued to shoot as she ran off.
The connection between the woman and Adon Abel is not known.
The second shooting happened outside a Kroger around 1:30
a.m. Monday.
A man was shot multiple times and taken to Grady Memorial
Hospital, where he is in critical condition.
Brookhaven police said the suspect fired at the man, who is
believed to be homeless, several times from his vehicle.
"For our part of the investigation, it is apparent to
us that this was a completely random attack of a member of our unhoused
community,” Brookhaven Police Chief Brandon Gurley said.
The third shooting happened right before 7 a.m. A woman was
found d3ad with gunshot and stab wounds.
DeKalb County police said the woman was identified as Lauren
Bullis, 40.
Arrest warrants state video shows the suspect passing Bullis
in his car before getting out and following her down the street. A bloody knife
was found in Adon Abel’s vehicle, according to the warrants.
Adon Abel was arrested in Troup County after DeKalb County
police said his vehicle, a Volkswagen Jetta, was identified leaving the first
crime scene and was spotted on a Flock camera.
Altogether, Adon Abel faces two counts of malice m8rder,
aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Brookhaven police said they believe there is no connection
between the suspect and the man in the Kroger shooting incident.
DeKalb County police said it is not known if there are any
connections to the victims in the two deadly shootings.
“We’re continuing to work to fully understand the
circumstances and the motive that led to these crimes,” DeKalb County Police
Chief Greg Padrick said.
Law enforcement officials said Monday all three
investigations are ongoing.
A man of a similar name, listed as “Adon Olaolukitan,” was
found guilty on four counts of sexual battery in Chatham County in April 2025.
In another arrest warrant, it states Adon Abel was
previously convicted of assault with a d3adly weapon on a peace officer in an
incident in San Diego in 2024.
Meanwhile, DHS confirms to Fox News that the suspect is a
national of the United Kingdom who was naturalized into a US citizen during the
Biden administration in 2022.
DHS confirms to FOX that one of the victims, Bullis, was a
DHS employee who worked in the DHS Office of the Inspector General.
