Saturday, April 18, 2026 - Popular Nigerian sports broadcaster, Temisan Okomi, has d!ed after a brief illness.
Classic FM, the radio station he worked with for over 12
years, announced his demise on social media on Friday, April 17.
“With the
heaviest of hearts, we regret to announce the passing of one of our staff,
Temisan Okomi, following a brief illness. Until his passing, Temisan was the
Group Head of the Sports Department. He was a valued member of our team whose
contributions and presence will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are
with his family at this most difficult time.”the statement read
Okomi was a graduate of Agronomy and Crop Science from the
University of Uyo before his sojourn into journalism.
He is survived by Veronica, his wife, and three sons.
