Man jumps into Lagos lagoon after parking his car on Third Mainland Bridge

Thursday, April 16, 2026 - A yet-to-be identified man was rescued after he reportedly jumped into the Lagos Lagoon.

It was gathered that the man parked his car on the Third Mainland Bridge before jumping into the water. 

Local fishermen quickly intervened and rescued him from the water. 

Isaac Fayose, who shared a video of the rescue on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, urged Nigerians to always check on their family members and friends. 

“Please, check on your family and friends. This just happened today. Who knows what went wrong,” he wrote.
