"Make this make sense! " Catholic Priest expresses outrage after an Imam places one million Naira bounty on head of a Pastor and has not been arrested

Monday, April 20, 2026 - A Catholic Priest has expressed outrage after an Imam placed a bounty on the head of a pastor he claims insulted Prophet Mohammed. 

The Imam initially placed a one million Naira bounty but later increases it to 2 million Naira and went ahead to boast about being free after making the threat on a pastor's life.

Reacting, a Catholic Priest named Father Kelvin Ugwu pointed out that a student named Deborah was k!lled by her classmates for alleged blasphemy and scores of lawyers turned up to defend the suspects. 

He added that an Imam has now made a threat to life over alleged blasphemy and is still walking free. 

Fr. Ugwu wrote:

 "It was Muslim students that k!lled Ms Deborah, their classmate. They brůtally støned her to dæath because she said something about their prophet that they don’t like, they búrnt her body to ashes with tyres and recorded the whole scene with their faces as they shouted Allahu Akbar. 

"Guess what? Two persons were arrested in connection to the killing and . . . You will not believe it. . . 

"At least 34 lawyers appeared in a Sokoto Chief Magistrate Court to defend the two suspects arrested in connection with the killing of Deborah. 

"Read that again, 34 lawyers. . . 34 Nigerian Lawyers. LAWYERS. 

"The case on Deborah has been forgotten. Those arrested were released. As I speak, they are walking free. 

"Make this make sense! 

"Then look at the recent news. 

"A Muslim Imam publicly places a one million Naira bounty on the head of a pastor and the Imam is still walking freely after several days. 

"'C*t off his head and I will pay you one million Naira.' 

"Those were his words. Now, he has come out publicly again to boast and doubled the bounty to 2M and dared anyone to arrest him.

"And do you know the honest truth? 

"You already know. 

"I am so so mad at this country called Nigeria."
