Thursday, April 30, 2026 - The Adamawa State Government has announced the resignation of two commissioners.
The affected commissioners are Chief Felix Tangwami,
Commissioner for Health and Human Services, and his counterpart in the Ministry
of Livestock and Aquaculture Development, Tijjani Maksha. Their resignations
take immediate effect.
The development was disclosed on Wednesday during the State
Executive Council meeting, presided over by the Deputy Governor, Professor
Kaletapwa George Farauta, at the Government House, Yola.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr James
Iliya, said the two former commissioners resigned to enable them seek elective
offices in the 2027 general elections.
