Suspended Cross River lawmaker's wife now claims video of her with battered face was AI-generated (WATCH)

Tuesday, March, 10 2026 - Glory Agbor, wife of the suspended Cross River lawmaker, Ovat Dickson Agbor, has debunked claims circulating online about her husband, saying that the viral video of her with a battered face was fabricated using artificial intelligence (AI).

The State House of Assembly had suspended Agbor, the member representing Obubra I State Constituency, indefinitely over alleged violent conduct against his wife.

The decision followed allegations that the lawmaker physically assaulted Glory.

The viral video shows Glory with a swollen face, bruised eyes and lips.

However, in a new video, Glory insisted that no such incident ever occurred.

She claimed that the content being circulated online is a deliberate attempt to damage her husband's political career.

"Nothing of such actually happened. Maybe it's AI or they want to use that to blackmail me and my husband. You know that election is around the corner. Maybe they want to use that one to bring him down,” she said.

“Nothing of such happened,” she emphasized
