Wednesday, March 25, 2026 - Singer, Bukola Elemide popularly known as Asa, has announced the de@th of her mother following a battle with a brain tumour.
The singer shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday, March
24.
In her post, Asa explained that the illness came suddenly
and without warning, leading to her mother’s passing. She paid tribute to her
mum noting her kindness, generosity, quiet nature and sense of humour.
She wrote
“My mother,
my reason to be, my queen, my everything.
“A sudden
brain tumor came without warning and took you too soon. You were generous. The
kindest soul.
“You had
your own quiet swag, you were extremely shy, and so funny. My biggest fan.
“You
couldn’t hold a note to save your life, but you sang every one of my songs with
your whole heart.
Your
strength, your love, your spirit will remain with me forever. Rest now, Mum''
May her soul rest in peace, Amen.
