Tuesday, March, 3 2026 - Residents narrowly escaped injury after a fire outbreak razed part of a twin residential building in Jalingo, Taraba State.
The incident occurred on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Agada
Atah, Magami area of the state capital.

Mikailu, who disclosed this in a statement said firefighters saved property
worth an estimated N52m.
“The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Taraba, State Command, has
successfully responded to a fire outbreak involving a twin flat each containing
four bedrooms self-Contain used for residential purposes, located at
Agada Atah Magami Jalingo Taraba state, preventing extensive damage and
saving property valued at approximately N52,000,000.00 following a distress
call,” the statement read.
"The firefighting crew, led by ASFII Bruno Nsame, acted
promptly to contain and extinguish the fire before it could spread to adjoining
buildings within the area.
"Through efforts, professionalism, and effective
deployment of firefighting equipment, the team successfully brought the
situation under control and prevented further escalation. No casualty was
recorded.

MIDRMSS, advises Taraba Residents to strictly observe fire safety measures and
promptly alert the fire service in the event of any fire emergency to ensure
timely intervention.
