Thursday, March, 12 2026 - A UK-based Nigerian lady, Louisa Michael, has advised financially stable women against marrying poor men.
Louisa, who gave the advice in a Facebook post on Wednesday,
March 11, said the moment a poor man becomes financially stable, he will leave
the woman that invested in him.
According to her, a poor man who marries a rich woman will
end up not only resenting her but will go as far as destroying her mentally,
emotionally and financially.
"Just
so you know, A poor man will resent you. It is true that poor people naturally
do not like rich people, but it's worse as a woman if you are rich but choose
to marry a poor man," she wrote.
The moment as a woman you decide to marry a man who is
below you financial status, you are in for a long thing.
Those kinds of men will crush you, they'll find every
reason to breakdown every single thing you have built. They'll destroy you
mentally, emotionally and financially.
Invest in a poor man and the moment he is financially stable;
he'll leave you for someone he can provide for.
Most women who marry poor men always end up losing their businesses,
their work, or whatever was their source of livelihood.
Drop your standard for some people, and time will help
you realize why those standards were there in the first place.
