Saturday, March, 14 2026 -The Nigeria Police Force in Kano State has recovered four stolen vehicles and arrested four suspects in connection with separate vehicle theft cases in the state.

According to him, the breakthrough followed intelligence-led
operations in line with directives from the Inspector-General of Police,
Olatunji Disu, and the Commissioner of Police in Kano, Ibrahim Bakori.
Kiyawa said operatives of the Anti-Car Theft Unit
intercepted a dark blue Hyundai Elantra at Naibawa Flyover in Kano on March 7.
He said the vehicle, which had been reported stolen in
Abuja, was being driven by Ibrahim Muhd, 29, from Minna, Niger State, and Ahmed
Sani, 32, of Abuja.
“The suspects were arrested and have confessed to the
crime,” he said.
He added that on March 9, the unit also arrested Abdulkarim
Mamman, 30, of Malali Quarters, Kaduna, in possession of a Honda Civic along
the Kwanar Dawaki axis of the Kano-Zaria Expressway.
According to the police, the suspect confessed to stealing
the vehicle from Karkasara Quarters in Kano.
Kiyawa further said Yusuf Ali, 28, of Kaduna, was arrested
in connection with a silver Toyota Corolla stolen from Dutse, Jigawa State.
He added that a white Nissan Sunny, stolen from a parking
lot in Kano metropolis, was also recovered during the operation.
“The suspects are currently undergoing investigation and
will be charged to court upon completion of the process,” he said.
The command urged residents to continue supporting the
police by providing credible information to aid crime prevention in the state.
