The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, made
this known in a statement said the suspects were arrested in separate
operations carried out by divisions in Tafa, Jebba, Gawu-Babangida, and other
areas following credible intelligence.
In one of the incidents, he stated that four suspects were
arrested on March 14 at Hayin-Dikko in Gurara LGA for alleged criminal

The suspects were reportedly involved in phone-snatching and
other robberies around Dikko junction and the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.
Also, the PRO revealed that five suspects were arrested in
Jebba on March 17 following an armed robbery attack in Mokwa LGA, where a

One of the suspects was identified by the victim, while the
others allegedly confessed to the crime and sharing the proceeds.
In another operation, he disclosed that seven suspects were
arrested on March 22 for illegal mining and vandalization of government
property at the Gurara Waterfalls. Police recovered items including water pump
engines, shovels, pipes, and other digging tools during the raid.
