Wednesday, February 11, 2026 - Rapper Ja Rule has addressed a mid-air confrontation with fellow rapper Tony Yayo after the pair were involved in a heated argument aboard a Delta flight from San Francisco to New York City.
Video footage
obtained by TMZ shows a tense verbal exchange between the two shortly after
boarding on Sunday morning. The clip captures raised voices as passengers
turned to look toward the back of the aircraft where the argument unfolded.
According to
witnesses cited by the outlet, Ja Rule was seated ahead of Yayo and a companion
when he made a remark that allegedly sparked the confrontation. The exchange
quickly escalated into shouting across rows.
In posts on X
after the incident, Ja Rule appeared unapologetic about the altercation. “These
fing clowns…” he wrote, adding, “I saw them when I got on I was laughing like
look at these two clowns lol they look like they saw a ghost deer in the
headlights they always talking s so I addressed them lol.”
He also said
he “popped on these punks” and claimed to have thrown a pillow toward Yayo
during the dispute, describing the situation as “hilarious.”
Witnesses
told TMZ that Ja Rule repeatedly used profanities and at one point said he
wanted to fight. Yayo was heard responding that aircraft are “federal offense
territory” and maintained he had done nothing wrong.
Cabin crew
intervened and both men were reportedly escorted off the aircraft briefly while
the situation was addressed. A spokesperson for Delta Air Lines confirmed that
two customers were spoken to by crew members following a disagreement and that
one passenger was rebooked on a later flight. The airline said the aircraft
continued to John F. Kennedy International Airport without further incident.
It remains
unclear which of the two rappers was rebooked. Representatives for Tony Yayo
have not publicly commented on the incident.
