American actress and singer MAYA HAWKE marries CHRISTIAN LEE HUTSON in surprise Valentine's Day wedding

Monday, February 16 2026 - Maya Hawke and Christian Lee Hutson have tied the knot in a surprise Valentine’s Day wedding.

The 27-year-old actress and the 35-year-old singer said “I do” during an intimate ceremony on Saturday, February 14. The celebration was attended by Maya’s famous parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, along with several of her Stranger Things co-stars including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery.

The couple exchanged vows at St George’s Episcopal Church in New York City. Maya wore a white wedding dress paired with an oversized feathery winter coat, while Hutson opted for a classic tuxedo. Thurman chose a light blue gown with matching shoes, and Ethan Hawke dressed in black for the occasion.

Ethan and Thurman were married from 1998 to 2005 and share two children, Maya and Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke, who was also present at the ceremony. Ethan is also father to Clementine Jean Hawke and Indiana Hawke with his wife, Ryan Shawhughes Hawke, while Thurman shares daughter Luna with ex-fiancé Arpad Busson.

Hutson had previously confirmed his engagement to Maya during an interview last year, casually referring to her as his “fiancée.” Shortly afterward, she was photographed wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger in Manhattan.

The couple made their red carpet debut in April at the opening night of John Proctor Is the Villain in New York City, where Maya supported her co-star Sadie Sink. They were also seen together at the Prada Fall/Winter 2025 show during Milan Fashion Week.

Maya and Hutson first met while working on music together. The New York-based singer opened for Phoebe Bridgers on tour between 2022 and 2023 and contributed to Maya’s 2024 album, Chaos Angel.

In a past interview, Maya spoke warmly about dating someone she considers a close friend.

“It’s awesome. I cannot recommend highly enough dating your friends. It’s the best. They know you, and as a human being who has dated other people,” she said. “They really know you as a person who has feelings … not just a piece of paper for them to project their image of perfect girlfriend onto.”
