Monday, January 26, 2026 - A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe has lambasted some Nigerians making inflammatory remarks against popular businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana.
The City Boy Movement, one of the campaign groups of the APC
for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, recently appointed the hotelier as its
South-East Coordinator.
The appointment, however, attracted criticism from social
media users, who condemned Obi for aligning with the APC government.
Reacting, Igbokwe in a post on his official Facebook page on
Sunday, said those attacking the businessman don’t know anything, describing
them as compound illiterates.
He wrote, “Ignorant people and headless mobs everywhere.
They are abusing Obi Cubana for accepting to work for APC. They know nothing
and they do not care about nothing. They do not know that Politics is superior
to Economics.
“Awon compound illiterates gbo gbo. No brain, no faculty, no
thinking caps, no common sense even though common sense is not common, no
cultural competence, no wisdom and understanding. Go and ask the Jews their
experiences with Hitler.”
