Tuesday, December 2, 2025 - A
man has been arrested after a stabbing took place at a school in
Melbourne.
The school principal was stabbed by another member of staff
at Keysborough Secondary College, according to the Mail.
Victoria Police have confirmed that they were called to an
assault at a school in Keysborough at around 3pm on Tuesday, December 2.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening
stab injuries.
A man was arrested at the scene as the school was allegedly
put into lockdown.
The Mail report that the victim was the school principal as
students said they were made to hide under tables as the attack unfolded.
The man who was arrested was also taken to hospital under
police guard with minor injuries.
Police will be interviewing the man and have said that it is
believed the two men are known to each other.
A spokesperson for Victoria Police said: "Police have
arrested a man following an assault in Keysborough on 2 December. It is alleged
that a male assaulted another man at a secondary school about 3pm.
"The victim was taken to hospital with
non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing.
"Officers quickly arrived on scene and arrested a man.
He was taken to hospital under police guard with minor injuries. He will
be interviewed by police.
"At this stage investigators believe the people
involved are known to each other. The investigation remains ongoing."
