Tuesday, December 16, 2025 - Businessman, Isaac Fayose, has taken to social media to lament about the high level of poverty in his home state, Ekiti state.
In a video shared on social media, Fayose said the state
which has the slogan ‘’Fountain of Knowledge'' has now become the ‘’Fountain of
Poverty''.
Fayose said this while reacting to a trending video of Ekiti
state civil servants queuing as early as 3am just to receive 2kg gas donated by
a philanthropist. He said the state workers have now become so impoverished
that they risk their lives to step out as early as 3am just to receive 2kg
cooking gas from a philanthropist.
