Police launch investigation as man is found brutally murdered inside car in Borno

Friday,December 5, 2025 - A man was found brutally m8rdered inside a vehicle at Modari Polo, Maiduguri, Borno State.

The victim inside a green Honda Civic with registration number GUB 142 GB at about 1255 hours on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.

The victim, seated in the driver’s seat, had his throat slit. 

According to Borno journalist Hamaza Suleiman, an Access Bank ATM card bearing the name Mohammed Ibrahim Saje was recovered inside the vehicle.

A patrol team led by Supol GRA visited the scene, documented the crime, and evacuated the victim to State Specialist Hospital Maiduguri, where he was certified dead on arrival.

The corpse was photographed and deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy and identification. The vehicle has been towed to the station for safekeeping.

No suspect has been arrested, and CID Maiduguri is investigating. Efforts are ongoing to trace and locate the victim’s family to aid the investigation.
