Monday, December 22, 2025 - The Nasarawa State Police Command says it has arrested two suspects, Isaac Audu and Jamilu Yusuf, for allegedly robbing a resident of his motorcycle.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel,
disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
According to Nansel, preliminary investigations revealed
that the suspects, armed with a locally fabricated firearm, attacked the victim
at about 1 a.m. on Saturday in the Foundation Area, behind the Federal
Polytechnic Staff School.
He noted that upon receiving information about the incident,
police operatives trailed and arrested the suspects, adding that the firearm
allegedly used in the operation was recovered.
Nansel stated, “Preliminary investigation revealed that on
December 20, 2025, at about 0010 hours, the suspects, armed with a locally
fabricated firearm, attacked a resident of the Foundation Area, behind the
Federal Polytechnic Staff School, Nasarawa, and dispossessed him of an
unregistered Bajaj motorcycle.
“However, nemesis caught up with the suspects following
timely information received by the police, which led to their trail and
subsequent arrest.
“During the operation, one locally fabricated firearm and
the stolen Bajaj motorcycle were recovered as exhibits.”
He concluded that the Commissioner of Police in the state,
Shetima Jauro Mohammed, assured residents of the command’s commitment to
ensuring a peaceful and secure Yuletide season.
The Nasarawa State Police Command has continued its
onslaught against criminal elements with a series of arrests.
