Friday, December 5, 2025 - Armed bandits have reportedly abducted a father, his son and a widow in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The incident occurred around 6:pm on Wednesday, December 3,
2025.
It was gathered that Mallam Garba and his son, Bala all
residents of Ungwan kambari Ologede, Idofin Odo-Ashe jurisdiction, were
kidnapped by armed bandits on their way from the farm.
Security sources that the son, however, escaped from the
attack by the bandits, while the father was taken away.
It was further learnt that a snake bite patient and his
people that were taking him for treatment were attacked by the bandits but they
all escaped by whiskers.
In a similar development, bandits also kidnapped a widowed
mother of four, Mrs Shakirat Atanda.
She was kidnapped while traveling from Igbaja town in
Ifelodun Local Government Area to Adanla community for her charcoal business.
According to her family, the bandits are demanding a ransom
of N100m for her release.
