Friday, November 21, 2025 - Shanoyd Whyte Jr., the boyfriend of popular TikTok star Girlalala, made a panicked 911 call after she was shot and killed in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida last Friday.
In the audio obtained by TMZ, Whyte, 25, can be heard
desperately pleading:
"Please help! Hello? I need help please! I need help! I
don't know the address. Just check! Just check, please! I'm at a house. I'm at
a house. Please… alright, thank you."
After hanging up, the 911 operator called him back, urging
him to stay on the line: "Yes, hello. Get here! Hurry up and get
here! Who's calling me, hurry up and get here! Please."
When Broward Sheriff’s deputies and Fire Rescue arrived,
they found 21-year-old Girlalala—born Maurice Harrison—in the front passenger
seat of a parked Tesla, suffering from gunshot wounds. She was rushed to
Broward Health Medical Center but was pronounced dead.
Whyte, a former college footballer with a 2022 domestic
violence arrest, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. A
judge later ordered him held without bond.
Girlalala, a wig influencer and hairstylist behind Girlalala
Beauty Bar in Pompano Beach, Florida, had been building a massive online
following. She had 294,600 TikTok followers, 117,012 across her Instagram
accounts, 4,760 YouTube subscribers, and 5,146 followers on X. Her brother,
Marion Harrison, was also tragically shot and killed last August.
In a statement to WPLG Local 10, her family said
"As a family we appreciate every prayer, kind thought
and gesture during our time of bereavement. Now we are just praying that
justice is served to the fullest degree."
Her funeral is scheduled for December 5. Meanwhile, a
GoFundMe organized by Chaddie Harrison has raised $28,777—surpassing the
$25,000 goal. Notably, $12,500 of the donations came from former City Girls
rapper JT (Jatavia Shakara Johnson), who wrote on Instagram:
"Rest beautiful Girlalala! We love you and heaven will
never be boring now that you are there. Your boldness, energy, humor and beauty
will be missed! You never missed a chance to show me love, and for that, I'm
forever grateful. I'm sorry this happened to you! We have to stop thinking
things are funny because of the way the story is told. If you see content about
DV, don’t laugh because it's a trans or black woman. Protect trans women,
protect black women, protect feminism as a whole!"
