Wednesday, November 19, 2025 - Nigerian music video director TG Omori says he has been receiving death threats following the backlash from his recent comments on same-sex relationships.
Over the weekend, the director stirred controversy after
describing homosexuality as “evil” in a post on X.
Things escalated after a magazine published an article
accusing him of using the controversy to sell glasses — a claim he strongly
denied.
Reacting on X, TG Omori said the publication “risked his
life” by, according to him, gaslighting a global community against him.
He added that since the article went out, he has been
getting threats “day and night,” insisting he only spoke based on his beliefs
and the laws of Nigeria.
The director says his safety and security are now at risk as
the online attacks continue.
