Wednesday, November 5, 2025 - Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sweezy, has taken to Instagram to call out his sister’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, accusing him of intimidation and misuse of power. He also encouraged the public to sign a petition demanding accountability.
In his posts, Sweezy mentioned that if Ned is truly a
Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, then he can be reported to
the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), even while living in Nigeria.
According to him, issues like domestic abuse, harassment, and power misuse are
taken very seriously there. He urged people to “run it up” by signing the
petition currently circulating online.
The petition titled “Hold Ned Nwoko accountable for abuse of
power” has already gained thousands of verified signatures and continues to
grow in real-time.
He also shared what appeared to be an open letter addressed
to Ned Nwoko, written on behalf of members of the Ogwashi-Uku community. The
letter expressed disappointment over the alleged harassment and intimidation of
Regina’s family members. It stated that in their tradition, marriage is not
forced, and if issues arise, the matter is meant to be addressed by the
kinsmen. The family claims they have tried several times to return the bride
price, but Ned allegedly refused to accept it, prompting them to deposit it
through the appropriate traditional process.
The letter also expressed that the arrest and detention of
family members over a domestic dispute was “an affront” to the dignity of their
community and culture. They requested that peace be restored, stating that
continued intimidation would force them to seek further traditional and legal
remedies.
In another post, Sweezy claimed he has video and voice
evidence, including conversations where Ned allegedly admitted to slapping
Regina. He wrote that he had tried to resolve things privately, but the
situation escalated, leaving him with no option but to make everything public.
He also demanded the release of their brother, Sammy West.
