Thursday, November 20, 2025 - The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano
Command says it has arrested four men for allegedly stealing motorcycles in
different parts of the state.
This is in a statement signed by the command’s spokesman, SC
Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, on behalf of the State Commandant.
According to the statement, operatives picked up the
suspects along Ahmad Musa Road, Hotoro GRA, and Medile quarters in Tarauni and
Kumbotso local government areas.
The men are identified as Abubakar Abubakar, 30; Abdullahi
A. Abdulhamid, 45; Muktar Abubakar, 20; and Abdulwahab Muhammad, 20.
The NSCDC said the suspects caught at Hotoro GRA
successfully unlocked the bike and had put it into motion when good Samaritans
intercepted them before officers were alerted and made the arrest.
“Operatives of the Nigeria security and civil defence corps
(NSCDC) kano state command have arrested four (4) suspects along Ahmad Musa
road, Hotoro GRA and Medile quarters in Tarauni and Kumbotso local government
areas,” he added.
Those arrested at Medile allegedly stole a motorcycle while
the owner was praying in a mosque in the area but were caught and taken to the
NSCDC office.
The corps added that a Lifan motorcycle and a Vespa were recovered as exhibits. It also confirmed that investigations into the case had been concluded and the suspects were charged to court.”
