Tuesday, November 11, 2025 - Croatian coach Ivan Juric has been kicked out of Atalanta, with the club confirming his sacking on Monday, November 10, after two straight Serie A defeats dumped them into the bottom half of the table.
Sunday’s 3–0 home embarrassment against Sassuolo was the
final straw, dropping Atalanta to 13th and wiping away the shine from their
earlier nine-match unbeaten league run, which already had fans grumbling
because seven of those games ended in draws. Losses to Udinese and then
Sassuolo sealed Juric’s fate.
Atalanta said in a statement that Juric and his entire
coaching crew had been dismissed.
It’s another rough chapter for Juric, who barely lasted two
months at Roma last season before a short-lived move to Southampton. He quit
the Saints in early April when they became the earliest relegated team in
Premier League history.
Juric had replaced long-serving boss Gian Piero Gasperini,
who left Atalanta for Roma after nine hugely successful years. While Atalanta
have been struggling domestically under Juric, things look a bit brighter in
Europe, where they sit 16th in the Champions League table with seven points
from four matches.
