Wednesday, November 5, 2025 - Senator Ali Ndume has accused presidential aides of demanding for financial kickbacks from anyone who seeks to have audience with President Tinubu in the State House.
Ndume who represents Borno South in the National Assembly, made this
allegation in a recent interview with Arise TV last night November 5.
In his words
‘’The government of Tinubu came
in two and a half years ago. Do you know we do not have ambassadors anywhere?
Do you know we do not have a representative in the UN? Lets say it as it is. I
don't like saying this on the TV too but do you know why? This is the only way
I can vent out because I do not have the chance to see the President.
The only time you can see the
President is maybe to run to where he is going to have any event and maybe if
the President sees you he says ‘Oh Ndume’.
This is how they run the
government. I am telling you; they do not have people in there.
It is true what I said that the
government is dominated by ‘kakistocrats’ and ‘kleptocrats’. All they are
concerned about is if you want to see the President, they will ask you ‘how
much?’''
The Presidency is yet to respond to these claims.
