Sunday, November 16, 2025 -The police in Delta state have arrested a 54-year-old man identified as for allegedly defiling his three daughters aged 24, 15 and 13, in the Ugborikoko area of Delta state.
In a video shared on social media, the spokesperson of the
command, SP Bright Edafe, said the DPO of the area had visited a particular
school for an outreach programme. He mentioned that during the outreach
programme, the DPO informed the students that they can report anyone who is harassing
them sexu@lly or has been defiling them. Edafe mentioned that after the
programme, a student of the school who is 13 years old was bold enough to
reveal that her father had been d@filing her since she was a child.
‘’After that
particular outreach, a certain child aged 13, started crying. It got to the
attention of her friend who went to her and asked why she had been crying since
the day the police DPO came to speak to them. That is how she opened up. Only
for her friend to say ‘’the day I came to your house, your daddy did the same
thing to me and that is why stopped coming to your house''.
Now what was
their daddy doing to them? The man here is a 54-year-old man who has been
defiling not just one but three of his daughters. The eldest daughter who is 24
years old, this man has been sleeping with that child since she was 12 years
old'' Edafe said
When interrogated, the suspect confessed to the crime. He
said he has been sleeping with them for seven years now.
When asked why he has been sleeping with his daughters, he
said
‘’It is devils
work''
He said he always felt sad after committing the crime.
When interrogated, the eldest daughter said her father had
been defiling her since she was 12 and when she was in primary six.
When asked why she did not report her dad, she said she was
shy and felt it was an abomination.
