Rock legend GENE SIMMONS hospitalised after scary car crash in Malibu

Thursday, October 9, 2025 - Rock icon and co-founder of KISS, Gene Simmons, was hospitalized after crashing his Lincoln Navigator into a parked car on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Tuesday.

According to NBC4 LA, the 76-year-old reportedly fainted or passed out moments before the collision. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Simmons told deputies he lost consciousness before the crash.

His wife, Shannon Tweed, 68, said the vehicle veered across several lanes of traffic before impact. She added that Simmons is now back home recovering and “doing fine.”

Simmons, who retired from KISS in 2023 after the band’s End of the Road World Tour, revealed that he has a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib) but has been managing it with rest and proper hydration.

The legendary bassist and vocalist formed KISS alongside Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss in the early 1970s, shaping one of the most iconic rock bands in history.
