Thursday, September 11, 2025 - South African Airways (SAA) has announced additional flights across key regional and international routes to meet growing demand during the upcoming festive season, including the Johannesburg–Lagos route.
Starting Wednesday, 1 October 2025, SAA will increase
frequencies on Johannesburg–Lagos (LOS). Additional flights commence on 6
October 2025, now flying six times a week, with new flights added on Mondays
and Tuesdays.
Additional flights commence on 1 October 2025, on
Johannesburg–Accra (ACC): now flying six times a week, with new flights added
on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Johannesburg–São Paulo (GRU) additional flights will
commence on 10 December 2025, with new flights added on Wednesdays and Sundays.
These seasonal uplifts are designed to offer customers
greater flexibility, convenience, and choice during one of the busiest travel
periods of the year, culminating on 11 February 2026.
Whether traveling for family reunions, business, or cultural
celebrations such as Detty December, AfroFuture, or the Brazilian Carnival
build-up, SAA has said it will connect Africa to the world with warm, authentic
African hospitality.

more flights, more frequencies, and more opportunities to connect Africa to the
world. We are aiming higher to serve our customers better this festive season,”
said Tebogo Tsimane, SAA’s Chief Commercial Officer.
