Sunday, September 14, 2025 - Several passengers were injured on Sunday following a collision between a Dangote truck and a Benue Links passenger bus on the Lagos–Kogi expressway.
Eyewitnesses reported that the crash occurred in the early
hours of the day when the truck veered into the path of the commercial bus. The
exact number of casualties had not been confirmed as of press time.
Emergency responders, including officials of the Federal
Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and state security agencies, were said to have arrived
at the scene shortly after the accident to convey the injured to nearby
hospitals and clear the road for motorists.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the cause of the accident, while investigations into the incident are ongoing.
