Monday, September 22, 2025 - Famous Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, clashed with a social media user who advised him to reconcile with his twin brother and former music partner, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy.
The clash started after Peter shared a throwback photo on
his Twitter account without including Paul.
A fan reacted by advising him to put aside pride, reconcile
with his brothers, and revive the P-Square brand.
The user claimed the singer looked like he was struggling as
a solo artiste compared to the success the group once had.
He wrote, “Why can’t you just kill the pride, make
peace with your brothers and make money. Be like Wike and Fubara. Focus on the
money, not your feelings. We miss Psquare and no other duos like Psquare. You
alone make you look like an upcoming artiste, you’re struggling with your
music.”
Peter replied: “Cry harder! Take this.
This prompted the fan to continue the conversation by saying
he once supported Peter’s music career and felt sad to see him decline.
The fan wrote: “I’m happy you responded to this. I can
gladly say that I was one of the people who made your music go global with my
platform back in the day. So, seeing you sinking while you’re a living legend
is a pity because of pride and bad advice; they are destroying what you’ve
built.”
The singer, however, responded with more emojis instead of
engaging further.
The Okoye brothers have had a troubled relationship over the
years, with multiple fallouts and brief reconciliations.
Peter had in the past accused Paul and their elder brother
Jude of excluding him from group matters.
