Imuekheme, has been k!lled by suspected bandits in Edo State.
The incident occurred on Tuesday August 12th in the Ikabigbo
community of Uzairue Kingdom, Etsako West Local Government Area.
According to reports, the victim was returning from his farm
when he was abducted and dragged into the bush.
A woman, who managed to escape from the kidnappers ran back
to the community to alert vigilantes and hunters, who then organized a search
party.
A community source stated that as the news spread, residents
who were still on their farms were called back home to avoid being attacked.
“The late Andrew was returning home when he was taken away by
the hoodlums,” the source said.
The vigilantes later found his motorcycle and shoes, and his
body was discovered in the evening after an extensive search.
The traditional ruler of the community, Chief Braimah Alegeh,
condemned the m8rder of his subject
He described his people as peace-loving and appealed to the
state government and security agencies for help
“We are predominantly farmers and peace-loving people; the
government and security agents should come to our aid so that we can have
peace,” he said.
This is the third of such k!lling in the community.
Two years ago, a Catholic Reverend Father and a hunters’ chairman were k!lled after the Reverend Father was kidnapped.
