Sunday, August 10, 2025 - Pastor Abel
Damina, the founder of Power City International Ministry, has said urged men to
rise up to the task of taking full financial responsibility in their families.
According
to him, the current practice where some men share bills with their wives is not
biblical.
He
argued that while splitting bills might be economically convenient, it is
unscriptural.
Speaking in a
recent episode of the ÷234 Mzansi Podcast co-hosted by actor, Ani Chinedu
Emmanuel aka Nedu Wozabia, the clergyman emphasised that women contributing
financially to the family should be voluntary rather than mandatory.
“Any man who is insisting on 50/50 [splitting bills] with his wife is not acting Bible. He is not operating scripture. It [splitting bills] might be economically convenient, but we’ve got to the word of God,” he said.
