Monday, July 7, 2025 - A video showing the
charred remains of a man's house after it was allegedly set ablaze by his
girlfriend in the Choba area in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital, has
made the rounds on social media.
A lady who recorded the video said the boyfriend was lying
down when the girlfriend in anger, lit the room up. The cause of their rift was
however not made known.
‘’Them say
relationship nor be by force ooo. marriage nor be by force ooo….see wetin one
nonsense girl wan do to her boyfriend ooo…she wan burn the boy to ashes…if man
dey beat you, go…if woman dey beat you, go..but my people dem nor go gree…you
carry your boyfriend when lie down put am fire'' the lady who recorded the
video said
