Police arrest man accused of assaulting 3 ladies inside Port Harcourt club

Tuesday, June 17, 2025 - The police in Rivers state over the weekend, arrested a man who allegedly ass@ulted three young ladies inside a club in Port Harcourt, the capital city of the state, where the women had reserved a table to celebrate a friend’s birthday

The women, who shared their experiences in a widely circulated video on social media, said they were attacked by a male patron after he accused them of filming him. One of the victims was seen in a video with her head bleeding, while another was seen missing a front tooth after she was allegedly punched in the face by the man.

The third woman claimed she was pushed down the stairs and stripped naked by the man and his entourage and be@ten like a thief.

The state police command had announced plans to investigate the matter.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the accused man was apprehended on Saturday, June 14 and was released on Sunday, June 15. She stated that the ladies and the suspects met with the state Commissioner of Police for an interview.
