Wednesday, June 4, 2025 - A model was allegedly assaulted by her ex-boyfriend during a violent incident at his £1.5 million home in Knightsbridge, a court has heard.
Chloe Othen, 34, a former Miss Universe finalist, told jurors she feared for her life after allegedly being pinned down, punched, and bitten by her ex-partner, 33-year-old Ricky Lawrence. The alleged attack is said to have occurred in October 2022 after she was invited to his residence.
The prosecution at Isleworth Crown Court described a brutal
episode in which Lawrence allegedly bit Othen multiple times on her legs, arm,
shoulder, and neck. She later required hospital treatment, including a tetanus
injection and antibiotics, after one of the bite marks reportedly turned
septic.
Prosecutor Sheilagh Davies claimed Lawrence also issued threats to stab Othen and her new boyfriend, Bora Guccuk, who had called her during the incident. "He threatened to stab Chloe and Bora. He threatened that he would assault them and threatened all sorts of things," Davies told the court. The threats reportedly left Guccuk deeply concerned for both his own safety and Othen’s.
Jurors were told Guccuk heard Othen screaming “help me, help
me” during the call and immediately alerted police. Othen later fled to the
Berkeley Hotel, where she met a friend, before seeking medical help.During her
testimony, Othen described the relationship as toxic, calling it “narcissistic”
and “euphoric,” marked by emotional highs and lows. The pair had been together
for around six months between December 2021 and May 2022 and continued an
on-and-off relationship after their official split.
Othen said she was left with six bite marks following the
attack and detailed prior harassment, including Lawrence allegedly pursuing her
during trips to the Cannes Film Festival and Mykonos
The court also heard that messages recovered from Lawrence’s
phone in the lead-up to the incident. In one message, he wrote: “I'll do
everything in my power to f**k you up,” and accused her of being a “lying
little whore.”
Lawrence, a whisky merchant, denies one count of assault
occasioning actual bodily harm. The trial is ongoing.
