Thursday, June 19, 2025 - Sean "Diddy" Combs' ongoing federal trial paused on Wednesday after one of the jurors reportedly experienced a vertigo episode while en route to court.
According to the Daily Mail, Judge Arun Subramanian halted
proceedings for the day due to the juror’s health scare, which was described as
“unexpected and momentary.” With Thursday being a federal holiday (Juneteenth),
the next court session is now scheduled for Friday.
This delay could affect the prosecution's timeline, as they
had previously planned to rest their case on Friday after testimony from
Brendan Paul, identified by prosecutors as Diddy’s alleged drug mule.
Diddy, 55, is facing serious charges, including sex
trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. If convicted, he could spend the rest
of his life in prison. He has pleaded not guilty and has been held in federal
custody in Brooklyn since his arrest in September 2024.
Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal team recently announced that they
may only need two days to present their defense, a decision some observers
interpret as a sign of confidence.
