Tuesday, June 3, 2025 - American actor and singer Tyrese Gibson is letting the world know that cancel culture didn’t stop his shine.
In a bold post shared on his Instagram story, Tyrese
addressed the ongoing conversations around cancel culture, saying it only
proves people are watching. According to him, getting cancelled, turned out to
be a blessing in disguise.
His words:
“Cancel culture is the greatest gift. There would be no such thing as being
canceled if they weren’t watching your every move. This is biblical. God will
never give YOU something [Somebody else] is supposed to have.”
He continued by encouraging others to stay focused:
“Keep flying, keep being a disruptor and keep elevating.
Only those that are different change things.”
Tyrese ended the post by listing some of his wins since
being “canceled,” adding, “I hope I get canceled again cause I’ve booked 35
movies, had 5 number one singles and 3 number one albums after it.
The post has since sparked reactions from fans and
