She asked, “Why are YOU still here, while so many
others—some better, kinder, more faithful—are gone?”
Challenging the usual responses like “God loves me” or “It’s
grace,” Mary pressed for deeper introspection. “Yes, grace is real.
Yes, God loves you. But He loved them too.”
She questioned the default purpose statements many
Christians give, such as “I’m here to win souls for Christ,” noting
that others who were more effective at that have passed on.
Instead, she urged everyone to pause and reflect honestly:
“Is this what I was given another day, another breath, for?”

“We’re all going to die. And none of us knows when. So take a deep breath…
and ask yourself today: WHY am I still BREATHING?”
