SEYI TINUBU reacts to accusations by NANS president, ATIKU ABUBAKAR, of ordering men to strip and assault him

Friday, May 2, 2025 -  Tinubu, the son of President Buhari Tinubu, has reacted to claims made by the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Atiku Abubakar Isah, that Seyi orchestrated a recent assault on him because he refused to accept N100 million to support his father's government.

While speaking at a public forum, Atiku said;

‘’I was invited to Lagos to meet with Seyi. I met with Seyi and the Minister of Youths. The Minister when he saw me he hugged me, we talked and I was to be offered N100 million  but the thing is it is not all about money. There are things which I stand for. You cannot ask me to begin to promote a President who has not done something for me to say he has done it. If he does something good, I will promote him. We will support him as the Commander in Chief but where he errs, you cannot say I should keep quiet, I wouldn't do that.

They felt I was being stubborn not to accept money, to come to Lagos without accepting money and going back.

They planned my abduction and on the 15th of April I was abducted stripped naked, beaten seriously in collaboration of NTA boss. I was packaged to NTA to make involuntary statements that I have renounced my position as NANS President.''

Ibas said he made the statement so he could regain his freedom, but shortly after his appearance on NTA, he released a statement saying his comments on NTA were made under duress.

‘’They claimed that they would share my naked video. They claimed that Seyi told them that they can share the video and that nothing will happen and that even if they k!ll me, he will order, these are the words of Ladoja..he is the one telling me this…that he (Seyi) will order the Inspector General of Police to cover it up and even if he doesn't do that, he will go.

This morning somebody was asking me ‘’Do you know who Seyi is?' and I said ‘Yes, he is just an ordinary person like myself. He is not occupying any position''

Reacting via his IG page, Seyi Tinubu denied the claim and stated that the allegations made by Isah are all a figment of his imagination.
