Rejected lover stabs 29-year-old woman in South Africa

Monday, May 12, 2025 - A 29-year-old woman was repeatedly st@bbed by her former lover in a premeditated attack at her home in KZN, South Africa. 

The incident happened during the early hours of Sunday, May 11, 2025. 

It was gathered that the woman returned to her residence on Goat Street, Waterloo after attending a party. 

Her former lover was lying in wait and entered her house shortly after her. 

He accused her of sleeping with other men. The suspect thereafter produced a kitchen knife and repeatedly st@bbed her until the knife broke. 

He fled after the victim’s call for assistance raised the attention of neighbours. 

The woman sustained multiple penetrating wounds to her head and body. 

She was transported to hospital for medical attention.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 01:18 and conducted an extensive search for the suspect, but he still remains at large.
