Wednesday, May 28, 2025 - When Lauren Sanchez left her husband of 14 years, Hollywood executive Patrick Whitesell, for Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, it made global headlines. The affair, which began while both were still married, was widely publicized and led to Sanchez’s rise to international fame.
Yet while Lauren and Jeff prepare to wed in Venice next
month, Patrick Whitesell appears to have truly moved on — and may be the one
who got the last laugh.
Now 60, Patrick is married to Australian actress and model
Pia Whitesell, 41. The couple wed in a private ceremony in May 2021, following
their engagement in late 2020. Pia, a former Home and Away star, has since
transitioned into a low-key life as an influencer and skincare entrepreneur,
far from the glitz of Lauren's celebrity lifestyle.
Patrick, the CEO of WME, one of Hollywood’s most powerful
talent agencies, represents major stars including Ben Affleck, Denzel
Washington, Hugh Jackman, and Ryan Reynolds. With an estimated net worth of
$450 million, he remains a key figure in the entertainment industry.
He met Pia in 2019, shortly after his split from Lauren, and
they were first seen together in early 2020. They quickly grew close, with
Patrick proposing later that year. Pia then relocated from Sydney to Los
Angeles with her two sons, Isaiah and Lennox, to start a new life with him.
The couple now live privately with their blended family, including Patrick's children from his marriage to Lauren. Despite the high-profile circumstances of their split, sources say Patrick and Lauren remain excellent co-parents, and Pia and Lauren are reportedly on good terms.
Meanwhile, Lauren’s relationship with Bezos began under very
different circumstances. Their romance was exposed by the National Enquirer in
January 2019, amid claims of an eight-month affair filled with luxury getaways
and secret meetups. Both were married at the time.
Bezos later accused the publication of blackmail and
published a public letter outlining alleged extortion attempts involving
intimate messages and photos. Following the scandal, he divorced his wife of 25
years, MacKenzie Scott.
Patrick was said to have introduced Lauren to Bezos at an
Amazon Studios party in 2016. She was later hired to shoot aerial footage for
Bezos's aerospace company, Blue Origin, which reportedly brought them closer.
Today, while Lauren and Bezos continue their high-profile
romance, Patrick seems content with a quieter life. A source close to the
couple shared in 2024, "Pat’s having the last laugh, 100 percent. He’s
living the dream with Pia, and he knows it."
More than three years into their marriage, the Whitesells
remain happy and private, seemingly untouched by the media storm that once
surrounded their lives.
