Newly married soldier killed alongside others as suspected herdsmen attack Benue community

Thursday, May 22, 2025 - Suspected herdsmen have k!lled a newly-wed soldier and several others in Ijaha-Ikobi community in Apa Local Government Area of Benue State.

It was gathered that the gunmen attacked the community in the early hours of Thursday, May 22, 2025, k!lling several residents, including two soldiers. 

The herders also set houses ablaze during the attack.

Details of the attack are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.  

Two more bodies of victims identified as Sani Ngbede and Aduba Paul Ogboyi, have been recovered.
