Moment man holds on to baby while hanging off balcony as fire engulfs building in Lagos (VIDEO)

Saturday, May 17, 2025 - A man heroically held on to a second-floor balcony while carrying a baby to escape a burning building in Lagos. 

A video shared online shows spectators standing in the street and in a compound, looking up at the man hanging for dear life with the child. 
 After a while, a ladder was placed against the wall to allow the man climb down with the child. 
A fire truck attended the scene and put off the fire.
