Wednesday, May 21, 2025 - A Nigerian man is winning hearts online after sharing a deeply emotional video he recorded just before proposing to his girlfriend, Mary.
In the heartfelt clip, he sits in front of the camera,
visibly nervous but full of love, and begins with the words:
“Last day as a boyfriend…”
He talks directly to Mary, calling her his best friend, his
partner, his everything — and soon, his fiancée.
From reminiscing about buying her cheap bouquets when he had
little, to now presenting her with real roses and a reservation, the video
captures a man in love, ready to take the next big step.
“I've been nervous the whole week… The reason I couldn't
sleep. The reason my whole-body clock was off. It was for this moment,” he
says.
He thanks her for staying by his side, supporting his
dreams, and loving him even when he had nothing.
Then, with all the sincerity in the world, he confesses:
“Just because I may not have the courage to say it then — I
will stand beside you for the rest of my life.”
